The Brunel Sessions are intimate 100 capacity shows, curated by music lovers who want to strip performances down and showcase some of the most accomplished contemporary artists around, all in a unique historical setting.
The Grand Entrance Hall was the world’s first underground theatre, built to enable access to the first ever underwater pedestrian tunnel. Now it is a 40 foot deep cylindrical stone cavern, with haunting acoustics making it an exceptional performance space.
CHAMPS headline the first Brunel Sessions on Friday 18th September.
CHAMPS are brothers Michael and David Champion. Hailing from a secluded village on the southern frontiers of the Isle Of Wight, the brothers have honed their enchanting harmonies and heavenly melodies in relative obscurity. Having already released two full length albums within a year of each other (Down Like Gold, 2014) (Vamala, 2015) both to critical acclaim, CHAMPS spent their formative years rehearsing and recording amid the rapidly changing weather patterns and unpredictable storms of their hometown.
